Modems for business plans are managed by SBDC.  We supply a single port modem that can connect your lan to the internet.
This means our staff are the only ones who have access to the modem and any changes to the config need to be via our support department.
Modem needs to be returned to SBDC at termination of the agreement.

Connection:
We will automatically connect you to the fastest speed port that is available at the exchange on the day of your connection.
To connect to a corporate plan it must be installed on a business grade telstra line. There are availability reports at www.telstrawholesale.com that can be used as a guide to availability of ports. View Capacity

Why the Cost:
As we strive to excell in all aspects of being an Internet Service provider, we have consulted with our Business Customers who have told us that they want more.  They need IPN's for interoffice connectivity as well as teleworkers.  We have delivered these requests by installing a seperate network solely for Corporate Customers.  Your  contention ratio is far less then our residential network.

Coverage availability available on all Telstra Exchanges.
+DSL Express in available at a limited number of exchanges. Please check list here

VPN / IPN / Teleworkers:
Our business grade network can be used for IPN and VPN as well as teleworkers and our 3g failover redundancy.

Shaping or Excess Data Charges:
Well with our corporate plans we ask the question, if your being charged for excess data or being shaped on your existing connection.  If you answer YES now ask yourself WHY?  When at SBDC all our corporate plans are not shaped nor do we charge excess data. Due to requests from Employers p2p is shaped / bared on Corporate Plans and 3g Backup

Monthly access charges are billed monthly in advance. Payment options are Bartercard or Credit Card only.
Late payment fee of $15.00 appiles to any payment not recieved by the due date. 
Bartercard is not accepted for any charges relating to - Early Termination Fees, Churn Reversal, Incorrect Call Out, Fast Fix Charge, IP Address charges, User not in attendance for appointment or calling a helpdesk not owned by Smelly Black Dog for assistance and any phone calls that are not included within the plan offering.

All plans come with Static IP address.

Notes:

  1. This is the plan's theoretical maximum download (the number before the '/') and upload (the number after the '/') speed, measured in kilobits per second. While you should receive this speed most (if not all) of the time, SBDC makes no assertions that you will achieve this speed at all times. Residential services are provided on a "best effort delivery" basis, and don't come with any Service Level Agreement (SLA). 

  2. This is the plan's monthly quota is not measured. Is your current plan measured, then you should think about moving on where it isnt.

  3. Stated is the plan's monthly price, and is only an indication of the charge for ongoing provision of the ADSL service. It does not include installation/termination/modification and/or hardware fees, any fees charged through late payment of account, any add-on options provided

  4. All our plans don't have a data limit at which your connection will be charged for excess data. 

  5. For your business broadband ADSL service with us to function, it is a business requirement of our carrier that you maintain a telephone service in good accounting and working order. If your telephone service is disconnected for any reason, we may get charged with a fee to reconnect you, and we'll pass that charge along to you. Two of the most well-known ways of making this happen are: 
    (a) Changing the "leasee" (person named on the bill) of your telephone service, and 
    (b) Not paying your phone bill.

  6. As noted in the section for startup costs, SBDC broadband services carry a commitment term of 0, 12 or 24 months depending on the selection you have made.  Unless stated otherwise and services are delivered on a month-by-month contract.  Each time you're billed for a month, you are contracted to serve (and pay) for that month, which isn't refundable. That's all there is to it. 
     
  7. Example of an "Incorrect Call Out Fee" is if you lodge a fault and the carriers technician finds no fault found within their network the charge is $265.00 (Bartercard is NOT accepted for this fee)

  8. Just quickly, when we connect or churn your line we will automatically connect you to the fastest speed available. So why should you pay more for a DSL2+ line we simply only connect to the fastest speed that is available at time of ordering.

  9. Early Termination Figure is months remaing * plan fee (Bartercard is not accepted for connection/early termination or change of speed fees)

  10. Billing periods start from 1st of the month your first bill will include a prorata amount.

  11. Thes plans include mail (50 accounts) and basic web hosting of your domain while your a customer at no extra charge!

Users paying with Bartercard note: Unlike some traders in the market place we do not increase the charges to compensate for you paying by bartercard. If you care to look you will find in fact they are the same.
